List of button types

By default, your form will have the following buttons:

• Next - assigned button for form, review, payment, login, and scheduling pages
• Submit - button to proceed to the ending page
• Back - lets respondents go back to the previous page. It shows in the top left corner by default, and you can move it next to the Next button
• Start - found in cover pages

You can also add:

• Skip - lets respondents proceed to the next page without answering the current one

Customize button

Click a button’s settings icon . On the right-hand panel, you can:

• Edit the default button text to your preferred label
• Change its alignment
• Change its background color

You can further customize your button by clicking Theme on the upper left part of your form followed by Advanced designer. The designer lets you:

• Change the rounding or shape of your button
• Change the subtle animation
• Change the back button’s position

Change the Back button position

The Back button shows from the second page on. By default it’s in the top left corner, but you can move it next to the Next or Submit button instead.

1. Click Theme on the upper left of your form.
2. In Form designer, open the Current tab and click Advanced designer.
3. Open Buttons.
4. Under Back button position, choose Top left or Near next button.

With Top left, the Back button is an arrow in the top left corner of the page: With Near next button, it’s a Back button next to the Next or Submit button: Payment and scheduling pages always show the Back button in the top left corner. With Near next button, you can’t add a Skip button.

When the Back button doesn’t show

The Back button doesn’t show:

• On the first page
• On ending pages and login pages
• On the page right after a login page
• In a quiz that shows the correct answer after each question

Add a skip button

Click your form’s Next button to open its settings on the right-hand panel. Toggle the Skip button switch. A Skip button then shows next to or under the Next button. It’s off by default and never shows on the review page. The button always says Skip, translated into your form’s language. You can’t change its text. You can also let respondents automatically skip pages without the skip button by enabling Auto jump.

If you don’t see the Skip button switch

Your theme’s Back button position is set to Near next button. The Skip button can’t be used with that position, and it’s hidden on the live form too. To use it, open your theme, go to Buttons, and set Back button position to Top left. The Skip button switch then shows again in the Next button’s settings.
