Google Calendar is a free online scheduling tool that helps you organize events, set reminders, and manage your time. It lets you create and share calendars, schedule meetings, and get notifications across devices. With features like color coding, recurring events, and integration with other Google services, it’s a convenient way to stay on top of your schedule.
Why embed a calendar on your website
Potential customers, clients, or investors often want to learn more about a business or organization. Typically, they fill out a contact page and may receive an email reply asking them to book a meeting. Here’s why an embedded calendar simplifies this process:
- Eliminates back-and-forth emails: Lets visitors book meetings instantly, skipping the email exchange
- Improves user experience: Makes it easy for potential clients or investors to schedule a call without extra steps
- Reduces missed opportunities: Ensures interested visitors can secure a meeting before losing interest
- Simplifies scheduling: Automatically syncs with your availability, preventing double-bookings
- Keeps everything in one place: Centralizes all appointments for easy tracking and management
How to embed a booking page on a website
First, create a booking page by following the steps above. Then, click Share followed by Website embed.

You can choose to embed it as a Button with popup, which adds a button to your website that will opens your booking page when clicked. You can customize the button text and color. Then, copy the code and add it to your HTML.

The other option is to use Inline booking page which embeds the booking page directly onto your website. Add the code to your HTML.

Customize the design of your booking page
There is one standard design for all Google Calendars. The only thing you can customize is the color of the button popup. However, with Fillout, you can change the font, background color or image, and other style elements to match your branding.

On the Fillout homepage, navigate to Scheduling from the top menu. Then, click Calendar and apps in the left-hand panel and connect your Google Calendar.

Next, go to Scheduling links to make a + Scheduling form. Choose your meeting type.

Set your meeting title and event duration. Then, go to Theme to upload a background photo, change colors, add a logo, and more. From here, you’ll be able to edit your avatar and how your name appears.
Finally, click Publish in the upper right corner and choose between the four different ways to Embed your form. Copy the code that appears and insert it to your HTML. Alternatively, you can click Share in the top menu to choose an embed style.

Embedding a calendar on your website makes scheduling effortless for both you and your visitors. Instead of back-and-forth emails, they can book a meeting instantly, while you stay in control of your availability and branding. With Fillout, you can customize your booking page to match your style and seamlessly integrate it into your website. Try it out and make scheduling a smoother experience for everyone.
